The Digital and Collage/Mixed media are totally suited to the way I think.

I look at ART as a Grand Adventure; never knowing what's around the next bend, but always anticipating something good, out there !!
This attitude has never let me down.

Because I never pre-plan a final piece, I allow a spontaneous action-and-reaction process to invite me into areas that are new to my vision and experience. Those that are exciting to my sensibilities, I pursue further -- those that aren't, I destroy.

The main idea is, to retain in the work that vitality of discovery I feel, so it's expressed to the viewer. While the intellect is necessary to control unbridled wildness, I still look for those elements that continually catch me off-guard and surprise me.

Because of my years involved in Art, there will be discoveries and influences which continue to show through, uniting all my images with a familiarity. I "like" a flat, frontal design - I stay away from perspective. I like a vertical or square format - a horizontal picture-plane is my least favorite. I like obvious "centers of interest" - all-over patterns turn me off (though I'm beginning some experimentation in this). I do prefer rectangular elements over organic.

This "always looking for the new", though, opens my doors and charges my daily batteries.
